About Dragoness
Professionally trained belly dancer, fire performer, and movement guide blending ancient rhythms with modern artistry.
Deeply rooted in my Persian heritage, my passion for sound and movement is enriched by the tribal rhythms of my culture. I began my dance journey as a teenager, studying and coaching Traditional, Modern, and Cabaret-style Belly Dance at The Broadway Dance Center in New York City. In 2001, I was recruited by Amira Mor to join her International Entertainment Company, where I danced alongside her and the acclaimed belly dance troupe for four years.
My professional career took off in 2002 when The New York Times’ Metro Section featured a full-page photo of me performing at the Cuban Day Parade—marking the beginning of a whirlwind journey through the world of dance. During my time with Amira Mor’s company, I performed at prestigious venues such as New York’s Radio City Music Hall for Ringo Starr, The Queens Theatre in the Park for Ishtar (Alabina), and The Humane Society alongside special guests Moby and Alicia Silverstone. I also appeared in international instructional belly dance productions including Belly Dance Your Way to Fitness.
After years of performing on renowned stages, I expanded my artistry by training with dynamic Tribal Fusion pioneers Rachel Brice and Zoe Jakes. In 2006, I began teaching my unique and diverse dance style—one that blends the fluidity of belly dance with modern musical influences, sword balancing, candelabra, and fire performance. Over the years, I have led hundreds of classes across the Tri-State Area at studios like Fred Astaire, JCC, and YMCA, as well as performing for private events, including the Berkley School’s Annual Fashion Show and Equinox Fitness Club’s Holiday Gala.
Today, I continue to ignite stages and empower students to connect with their sacred temple through movement, belly dance flow arts. I am available for performances, private lessons, and group classes. Dance with me in person or online. Email enterdragoness@gmail.com to inquire.
